My Spring Knitting Plans 2025

As my knitting plans thus far have gone to plan – woohoo, it is time to roam around for new patterns to explore for the next few months of projects. I, unsurprisingly, have probably gone overboard with the sheer volume of patterns I have dug out, but more the merrier. I have a range of accessories, tops, vests, wooly knits and more to share so let’s get down to it.

What I have knit so far in 2025 and the skills I have learnt

So far this year I have worked on some beautiful patterns including completing the Bowret from Sachiko Burgen and I am currently working my way through Andrea’s Cat Knit Sweater. I also FINALLY finished my Amelia vest from the Autumn drop of patterns from Pom Pom and Hobbii!

I have learnt some new stitches and techniques, including making button holes and adding buttons to knit work, a stunning slip stitch pattern from the Amelia pattern, I learnt how to use DPNs to create an I-cord from Sachiko’s pattern and have done my first ever batch of German short rows from the Cat Knit Sweater pattern. Andrea’s explanation was great, as someone who watched countless videos and didn’t get it – so thanks, Andrea! I am still in the process of finishing the cat knit sweater, but I am so pleased with this pattern so far.

Spring Accessory Patterns

Knitwear: Cardigans and Jumpers

A beautiful range of quite diverse patterns, there is a sweater style top featuring a bow i-cord fastening at the neck from Tanja Koenigs, which the colour she has chosen to work in is truly stunning. The relaxed fit of this simple and elegant stockinette stitch pattern is truly a must-make. A very wearable and easy-to-make lightweight jumper. The second pattern showcased from the back of the wrap detailing is the Knitting for Olive Late Summer Wrap, I must confess I have had the yarn and pattern for a very long time but before I had acquired my knitting scout badges to master the various techniques!! Another sweater from Hobbii and Pom Pom, the Whim sweater, I have purchased the yarn in the colours they have made the floral pattern it has a lot of new techniques. This pattern was my first failed attempt at German Short Rows, so now I have a vague idea how to do them I am looking forward to making it! The final pattern is from a brand I first found via instagram, MYPZ they have such a fantastic range of patterns for knitters and crocheters, they’re bold and fun and everything knitting should be. I was in awe of how beautiful the tulips looked and since it is ALMOST spring, it seems like the perfect knitting pattern for spring.

Knitted Top Patterns for Spring

Knitting for Olive’s Puff Tee

@KnittingforOlive

A staple stockinette puff sleeve 3/4 length knitted top. Knitting for Olive always produces super stunning and unique patterns and high-quality yarns.

Rowan’s Pollen Pattern

@RowanYarns

A lovely wrap ribbed top featuring an i-cord tie detail. This is maybe a little optimistic for British spring, but perfect for summer.

Finally, the Quite Contrary Vest from Hobbii X Pom Pom

Tulips are a theme for me this spring, is it a knitting trend? Tulips for 2025? I love how fun the colours are and having worked with the yarn (Garland) before and enjoyed it, I have the world’s largest stash of it.

Images are all sourced and linked to the creator’s sites, I use my blog to promote and share patterns I truly adore, I hope you find that you enjoy this list and are happy with me sharing your content.
