Step-by-step guide on how to do stockinette stitch

  1. Cast on your stitches, this stitch you don’t need to cast on a certain number of stitches, so it can be an odd or even number.
  2. Knit the first row, you need to knit every stitch in your row.
  3. The next row, purl all the stitches until the end of the row.
  4. Repeat step 2 and 3 until you have finished your work
  5. Cast off. Tip: I would recommend finishing on a knit row (step 2) and then casting off.
