Current Knitting WIPS and Recently Finished Projects

I’ve been a little unwell recently and as a result, my blog has been a little neglected. So I thought, as a quick check in I would share with you the current WIPs and some finished projects!

WIPs – The Knits In Progress

The Lucky Star Tank from Wool and the Gang.

I purchased this kit FOREVER AGO. I had started knitting it up on the suggested needle size of 6.5mm and found it to be really loose even for the small size. So thought I’d put it on 4.5mm needles using the same yarn and try adapting the pattern to knit in the round. It is about 60% done with the neckline and upper back to finish. I’ve made mine in Lime cotton.

Mariana Top from Hobbii

As you can tell, I am prepping for summer. This is similar to the WATG kit but with a nice frill at the bottom and deeper neckline. I’m making this in their sky blue Acacia Yarn. I’ve just finished working on the frill, and it’s a thrill to make.

Finished Projects

Copenhagen Slipover

My finished project, this was not so beginner friendly with doing the ribbing for the sleeves and I ran out of yarn, had to order more, then ran out of another colour so grabbed a bright yellow from my stash to do the edging. I added additional crochet to the sleeves to tighten them. Really pleased with this! I’ll be doing a video tutorial soon of this free pattern so stay tuned.

The Yellow Hat

I recently made this yellow hat adapting a pattern my Nana gave to me. I used a merino wool and a mohair yarn to create this cozy bright yellow hat. This has also created another WIP which is a matching scarf with tassels. I am wishing the summer away to wear it.

What are you making at the moment? Let me know and share in the comments. Take care of yourselves. Maxine x
