Hey everyone, feels like it has been a little while since I sat down at my desk and wrote something for heymaxinesplace. Life has been busy as always, and again (as always) I have a million knitting projects on the go.
My favourite current work in progress is the Simone Cardigan from Wool and the Gang. It is a pattern I have had in my ever-growing stash for a few years but I finally had the right yarn and it was the right time for it. I had purchased the pattern, not the kit and am using different yarn to that ‘prescribed’. I’m working with two strands of Silk Kid Drops yarn and an acrylic yarn from Paintbox.
Above is the yarn I used and how it has knitted up, I think the combination of natural and acrylic fibre has worked really well, it has a good stretch and think it will stand the test of time.
